Welcome to the third edition of my "How To Speed Up Your Computer" series. As promised, I'm back in business. It's a pretty simply tutorial once again, but next time I'm going to show you how to do some tricky stuff with your registry. If you're not on a Windows user, I'm sorry that my videos have been only Windows tips. I promise to upload some Linux stuff in later episodes for you computer geeks (I'm running multiple operating systems).
So this time I'm going to walk you through how to run a system cleanup and fragmentation. Your extra files are going to be cleaned up, so they will no longer be slowing your computer down.
STEP ONE
Go to the start menu and follow this path:
All Programs :: Accessories :: System Tools :: Disk Clean Up
STEP TWO
Run the clean up. When it's finished analyzing, click 'OK'.
STEP THREE
Now, go to the start menu again and follow this path:
All Programs :: Accessories :: System Tools :: Disk Fragmenter
STEP FOUR
Select your main disk drive and run the scan. When it's finished, run the defrag process.
STEP FIVE
Close the program.

WARNING: It is possible to mess up your files if you do this to often. I suggest doing it 1-3 times a month MAX.

That's it. Another easy four step process to improve the overall speed of your computer ten fold.
